Hectic Weekend

There will be an end of week post to discuss a few developments. Also I'm putting together the final back testing list of equities only, no ETFs. If you would like to suggest your favorite stock for coverage in a back tested system, there will be approximately 50 that will have buy, hold, sell or cash signals on them.

The prerequisite for the stocks are the following, from $5 to $75 or so. Most people do not like to trade the higher priced stocks like AAPL and GOOG from what I have seen. Minimum average daily volume must be at least 250,000 a day, I prefer 500,000-1,000,0000. The stocks Beta must be at least 2. Please do not submit stocks in the same industry group, pick out your favorite. Also no stocks that have been IPO's within the last 6 months. Also the more trading history the better. I prefer to stay away from large caps, like IBM and utilities, but the Beat rule should take care of most of that. The main reason is that the large stocks that are part of averages, are routinely bought and sold to square away fund tracking averages or ETFs, therefore short term signals could have little to do with actual interest in the stock, they are just used to match a return.

So please feel free to get involved with your personal favorites, they are all going into a roughed out back testing system and then it will be tested for robustness under different market conditions. All in all we want to try to achieve maximum exposure to different industries.

Now, I'm off to the airport to pick up my in-laws from Hungary-(Anna's parents).

I hope everyone is having as beautiful weather as we are in south Florida.
