TICK Chart

The NYSE TICK chart shows how many NYSE components ticked up on the last trade minus how many ticked down. Typically a strong uptrend will see +1000 tick readings and even +1250-1500.

On the downside, the numbers are about the same -1000 to -1500 (1250-1500 in either case is an extreme).

Here's today's action, note the downtrend and a lot of activity below zero and in to the -1250 area.
