It didn't take long for the US to respond to Iranian threats.

Yesterday Iran wrapped up their 10-day war naval war games, having fired two missles, one a long range missile that could hit Israel. This morning Iran said they would retalate against the US 5th Fleet sending any more Aircraft Carriers in to the Persian Gulf. The US shot back quickly..

  • CARRIER DEPLOYMENTS IN GULF WILL CONTINUE, U.S. SAYS
  • PENTAGON SAYS NAVY TRANSITS THROUGH STRAIT OF HORMUZ ARE NECESSARY TO SUPPLY U.S. MISSIONS IN GULF REGION
  • U.S. MILITARY MOVEMENTS IN PERSIAN GULF `REGULARLY SCHEDULED'
  • U.S. RESPONDS TO IRAN WARNING AGAINST FUTURE CARRIER MOVES

It would seem to me that the US is deliberately provoking Iran, maybe Obama sees Ron Paul as his biggest threat, despite the Republican nominee polling, in a contest against Obama, Paul is the only one who has been shown to consistently beat Obama, of course Paul is considered a Foreign policy isolationist, may be Obama is taking a gamble with a scuffle with Iran during an election year, that could go back fire as the US is pretty much all worn out with decade long wars that don't achieve much for the US or at least for ordinary citizens. Whatever the reasons, the US does seem to be taking a provocative line with Iran.

Of course if Paul is elected it wouldn't be Obama who is the biggest loser, think the F_E_D
