Apparently the economic editor of the BBC has said that the Greek Economic Minister has told him that,
"he believes Greece's new proposals to balance the government's books have broken the deadlock with its creditors."
Of course, we have seen numerous rumors/denials, especially a few doozies last week and expected to see them this week. Now we wait for either confirmation  which has been VERY rare, or denials which have been forthcoming quite quickly. The only difference this time is that the rumor/news seems to have a source, but then again the Greek government's take on negotiations is usually quite a different reality than the EU's.
Is interest rates about to start going up?

Yes, I know - it does not make any sense - FED is about to cut
rates...but....real world interest rates are not always what FED wants it
to be.
